The Panasonic SD255 Breadmaker is an excellent bread maker.  So outstanding is this machine that I bought the same exact design again since the old one I had was worn out from frequent use.  Even if it was a bit expensive, I have been using my SD255 so much, logic would dictate I already got my money’s worth for it.  Because it bakes the most beautiful and tasty breads, it was difficult not to go baking when there is nothing to do and even when there was too much to do.  Nothing is as comforting as the warm sweet smell of freshly baked bread in the kitchen.

The SD255 can bake three different sizes of loaves from medium to extra large.  The extra large one is a huge loaf of bread but even so, it is always consumed so fast because the crust is so crispy, the texture is exactly what bread texture should be, and it is easy to slice.  The spicy fruit loaf and olive bread recipes that come with the SD255 are also great.  I find that I couldn’t live without those kinds of loaves and just had to buy the SD255 again after my old one gave way to overuse.

This bread maker is also well sized.  It can be easily stored and doesn’t take much space on the kitchen counter.  It has an angled control panel that makes it easy to read and easy to operate and the automatic dispenser for add-ons like raisins, fruit pieces or herbs is definitely a plus.  If you read the manual carefully, you can set the bread maker to just add the ingredients by it and you don’t have to get up and put the ingredients in yourself after the beep.  You will surely love this bread machine from the first time you use it.
